Rwenzori Field staff joined Uganda Union's LEAD Conference, gaining leadership, ministry, and mission skills to better serve churches and communities.
Rwenzori Field Staff Participate in Uganda Union LEAD Conference
Entebbe, Uganda – Staff from the Rwenzori Field of the Seventh-day Adventist Church joined delegates from across the Uganda Union Mission for the LEAD Conference, a week-long leadership training program held from 7th to 12th June 2026 at Peniel Beach Hotel, Entebbe.
Organized by the Uganda Union Mission, the conference brought together church leaders, departmental directors, pastors, and institutional workers from the various fields and missions across Uganda. The event was designed to strengthen leadership capacity, enhance ministry effectiveness, and equip church workers with practical skills for advancing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Throughout the week, participants engaged in a series of interactive presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and devotional sessions focused on servant leadership, strategic planning, effective communication, teamwork, stewardship, and mission-driven service. The conference also provided opportunities for networking and the sharing of experiences among church leaders from different parts of the country.
The Rwenzori Field delegation actively participated in the training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in ministry. The knowledge and skills acquired during the conference are expected to strengthen the field's leadership and enhance the delivery of ministry across its districts and local churches.
Beyond the classroom sessions, the conference fostered fellowship and spiritual renewal as participants worshipped together, prayed together, and reflected on the church's calling to proclaim the everlasting gospel in preparation for Christ's soon return.
Speaking about the importance of the training, participants expressed appreciation to the Uganda Union Mission for investing in the development of church leaders and providing a platform for learning, collaboration, and spiritual growth.
The LEAD Conference reaffirmed the Uganda Union Mission's commitment to developing capable, Christ-centered leaders who can effectively guide the church in fulfilling its mission. As the participants returned to their respective fields, they carried with them renewed enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and practical tools to strengthen their ministries and serve their communities with excellence.
